  3. Got it :) super thanks! Btw, it was stated in the list that i need to send a reference letter from my previous employer. Is it the same with certificate of employment? Coz it has many specifications. And the JD must be included. Did you send yours altogether? Or Jd (job description) is on a separate sheet? Sorry for asking many questions :) thanks po

  4. Certificate of employment and letter of reference is the same. There should be a Job Description as stated in the form specification and many others...I made a format for myself and squeezed in one page with JD and all the specifications. Then I ask my manager to check it and sign. You can print it separate but make sure that the page is 2/2 and have it signed and with a company letterhead.

You can also ask your HR to just copy and paste your format in a USB and ask them to print with a company letterhead and let them sign it. Make sure that all the details stated there are true and they should sign it.

    1. Those documents that are not in English format should be translated and notarized.

    1. Actually, they are the same organization that assess your credentials, the only difference is the price and how simple their process may be.

I got WES, because it's cheaper and found it easy to navigate their site.

    1. Hi, first of all, to know the relevant job you have now is to compare your current job description with the one listed at the National Occupation Classification of Canada. You can read my post here.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Hi, since you are still married, you will still include your spouse as your non-accompanying dependent in your application form and he will also sign the form, Separation Declaration for Minors Traveling to Canada (IMM5604), to allow his son/daughter to travel to Canada without him.

  14. Hi Ben,

Use of representive form (IMM5476.pdf) is only mandatory for those who use migration agent? We don't need to submit this form if we do by our own. Right?

Sorry to ask so many questions.

  15. Yes Tun, don't include this form if you do not have a representative.

Don't be afraid to ask questions, I'm here to help.

  16. Hi again Ben, do i need to include my husband in paying the application package even if hes not accompanying me. Can I just tell them that im separated but not legally? thank you for responding and sorry if i ask a lot.
    ReplyDelete

    1. If you declare any family member as non-accompanying, you do not need to pay the processing fee for that person.

You still need to submit your marriage certificate and ask your husband to sign and submit the original copy of Statutory Declaration from Non-Accompanying Parent/Guardian for Minors Immigrating to Canada (IMM5604). This comes with his photo ID showing his signature.

About the declaration of your separation of your husband, I suggest that you consult an attorney.

  23. Ben I have a problem :c this afternoon I asked the HR department if she can give me COE, then I showed her the one that I made. she told me that i cannot put the salary per annum. And she was asking me where will I use the Coe, so i cannot lie i told her that I was applying for PR in Canada. Then she said that Ill ask the boss first which is the Owner. What if they will not give me Coe is it possible that I will be terminated because I ask for Coe? Then she was telling me why not apply PR here in Sg. So I sms my boss and asking where can i get COE. What if she say cannot? Thank you for the response.

  26. Hi Ben,

Can you help me. What should i write in "Immigration office requested for processing this application" ..Currently working here in Singapore. Saw this in singapore.gc.ca

The Immigration Section in Singapore serves as the Regional Processing Centre responsible for the processing of applications for citizens and residents of the following countries:

Applications for Temporary Resident (Visitor) Visa, Study Permits, Work Permits, Travel Documents (for Permanent Residents Returning to Canada) – Bangladesh, Brunei, Malaysia, and Singapore.

Applications for Permanent Residence (Immigration) – Bangladesh, Brunei, Burma, Myanmar (Burma), Cambodia, East Timor, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.

Philippines is not included. I'm applying under FSW. What did you write in IMM 0008? Thanks

  28. Hi,

    Hope you can help me.

I finished my first course (4-yr Bachelors degree) in a university. Then I took up nursing right after graduation. Confusion starts here:

Nursing is a 4-yr program but minor subjects from my first course were accredited. I took up only one semester from college A...then transferred to College B in Manila. It took me 3 yrs to finish nursing in college B. So my question is what should i write in overall years of post-secondary?

    a. 4+3 = 7
    b. 4 + 0.5 + 3 = 7.5
    c. 4 + 4 = 8 since nursing is a 4 yr program.

    Thanks for your help! :)

  29. Hi, many thanks for this informative and substantial blog! We are eternally grateful :) Some qns here which require your advice!

    1. Hubb and I are both elementary teachers, unfortunately we are not in the listed 50 occupations. However, can we apply under 'Early childhood educators and assistants' given that our job nature is very similar to that? Are Singaporeans required to take the English test?

    2. How different is applying a work permit as compared to applying under FSW? Do work permit holders enjoy less rights and opportunities?

    3. How long is the application process? I read that it is anywhere between 3yrs to 5yrs, is that true? We are doing the big shift during 2016 Jan, when do u think is a good time to apply?

Many thanks and look forward to ur response!

    1. Hi, here are my answers...
      1. Yes, as long as your job descriptions are similar and you can provide evidence like Certificate of employment for that job.
All applicants need to submit a language test such as IELTS.
      2. For work permit, you need to have a Canadian employer to sponsor you, while FSW doesn't. FSW arrives in Canada as Permanent Resident with PR benefits, Work permit is still a Foreign worker with worker benefits only. This is the same concept of Pass holders and PRs in Singapore.
      3. Good time is now. It will take 9-12 months from the date of your submission, given that you'l send their request promptly. Canada keeps on changing their rules, you will never know when your occupation is taken out from the list.
      Delete

  30. Thanks for e prompt response! Guess there is no time left to procrastinate. First step is to get our qualifications validated? Hubb stands a higher chance so he will be the principle applicant and I will be a partner/dependent right? Can I still work therr then?

Do we need to make a trip down to the canadian embassy? Like gather all e documents and stuffs? Woah, seemed like a tough race.

Las I heard those who graduated from the 3 local uni do not need to take the english test, Boy, is it difficult. Seemed like a long time since we took any exams. Tok abt being singaporeans...

Thanks for all e advice again. Will apply soon, all e best in canada!

    1. -
-You will be the dependent if your hubby is the principal applicant.
-You can work there because you'll be a PR.
-No need to go to Canadian embassy, if you have gathered all your documents with the full application, you can send it to Nova Scotia, Canada...the address is in the form.
-are the locals applied for FSW? All FSW applicants needs a language test result...
      Hoping for the Best!!!

For example, Additional Dependants Declaration (IMM0008DEP) , Use of a representative (IMM5476) , Arrange Employment etc are not applicable to me. So do I need to write anything for these documents Or just leave it untick on the Checklist form?

    1. Hi gobble, since I was applying for this FSW since 2003, everytime I resign from my job, I always ask for my COE and is signed by an HR or my Supervisor. This 2013 application, I attached those old COEs.

    2. It's stated on the requirements that you need to provide the letter of your reference/COE for all employers for the past 10 years.

If you can not get a COE from your current or previous employers, you can provide the copy of your work contract since it has all the details of your job description there, i assume, and a copy of your payslip. If really unlucky and no way to produce it, provide a written letter why you cannot produce such document.

      Hope this helps.

  38. Hi Ben, I'm a little confused as to what occupation to apply for. I have a degree in Accountancy, I have 3 years experience as an Accountant (NOC 1111) in different companies but my recent experience is no longer related to finance. I have been an Information systems analyst (NOC2171) in the past 6 years. I'm planning to apply as systems analyst. Do you think that this could give me a greater chance in getting approval? or should I go for the Accounting skill? Thank you.

    1. You can choose any of the two. But, I recommend NOC 2171. It's your latest job and you have more experience on it. Both occupations are eligible, so there's nothing to worry about. The important is that you can provide the COE of 2171 as required.

Now, the things that you need to concentrate are the other factors such as language, education, etc...

    1. Hi Gobble, compliments like this powers up my spirit to blog more, Thanks a lot!

I chose Singapore as the responsible visa office. But, the Canadian Embassy Manila was the one who asked me for a medical check up and other additional documents. Then during the stamping of visa, Manila instructed me to submit our passports in Singapore. I was a bit confused. What I did was to only follow their instructions. Now I'm waiting for our passports with stamped Visas, hopefully this month.

I'm leaving probably on October, I hope to see you all before I leave SG. I'll post about that meet up around September. I can get a job in Canada within a month, but it's a survival job, $11/hr.

  47. Hi Ben,

Note: As of May 1, 2014, there is an overall cap of 25,500 for new federal skilled worker applications. This includes a cap of 500 applications from PhD students. There are also sub-caps of 1,000 for each of the 50 eligible occupations. The caps do not affect people with a valid job offer. These are the last applications we will accept under the current system before Express Entry launches in January 2015.

Does this mean that we need to submit our applications before the launching of Express Entry in 2015? I'm in the midst of preparing my documents and preparing for ietls exam. The problem is I think I need more time because of my workload this Aug-Sept. My initial target month of submission is on Oct and ietls exam on Sept. But I'm thinking of pushing it for another month. So ietls = Oct, submission = Nov.

Cap for my NOC is still 0 as of now. Procrastinating I know. It's just that I'm not confident enough that I'll meet my target IELTS band that's why I need more time to practice :(

    Wahh I need motivation. yay

I'll appreciate your advice on this matter.

    1. Hi, this means that any applications received AFTER Jan. 1, 2015 (12am) at the Centralized Intake Office (CIO) in Nova Scotia, Canada, will not be accepted.

If you send your application on November given that the quota of your occupation haven't reached yet, your application will still be processed.

For your information, IELTS tests can be scheduled during Saturdays or sometimes Sundays, depends on the test centers. Why not take this opportunity.

The only thing you need to review in IELTS is how they conduct the exam. Because reviewing English as a whole takes years. You check my post, maybe it might help.

    1. Yes, you can do this, but you must inform CIC about the change of status(marriage) and must submit your spouse required documents, application fees etc...

Take note, you need to do this before the Approval of your Visa...else, you will have to apply for Spouse Sponsorship.

The single copy of the Original IELTS result should be coming from you together with your FSW Full Application. This is the only one copy that you can have, the next TRFs' that you'll request are sent directly if needed by other institution (ex: Australia, schools, etc..).

Just send them your Diploma and request your school to send the TOR directly to them.

In my opinion, your grades are the most important factor for the assessment, not how long you achieved it...it's reflected in your TOR. You can send a letter though...there's no harm in doing that.

Hi Ben, I saw the sample format for the assets and liabilities.. it does not, however, include the computation for the settlement funds.. when calculating SETTLEMENT FUNDS=ASSETS-LIABILITIES should i just calculate ASSETS including all property values??? or should i compute with bank or liquid funds only?.

    1. Hi, The purpose of the form is to show your assets and liabilities. At the form (IMM 0008 SCHEDULE 3) item #11...you need to indicate these A&L and the Total Settlement as well. this is what I did with my form..pls read the link.

    1. It's good to know that you did the first step in your application. You can now find the forms at the Required Documents once you log in to your WES account. Anyway, I prepared the link for you here...

      http://www.wes.org/ca/required/International_Transcript_Request.pdf

Print, fill up the details, sign, and send it to your school. Your school should know this procedure and they will send this together with your Transcripts to WES.

      Hope this helps.

  54. Hi saw some of the responses here and couldn't help but want to poke my nose in here to further address some of the queries. Ben, correct me if I am wrong.

First of all, the Oz and the Canadian Immigration requires different modes of IELTS, the former requires ACADEMIC test while the General test would suffice for the latter. You CANNOT USE the IELTS results (general testing) for both immigration office.

Secondly, I read that for Express Entry, applicants will submit their work portfolio and profile to Canadian Immigration and the companies will seek out potential candidates from the immigration authority and these applicants will have priority over the rest of those who are not 'chosen'. This will result in a backlog of applications for applicants like some of us who are not exactly in 'huge demand' now. So, submitting your application later is a bad idea.

Thirdly, if you own a property in Singapore like me, you can get a private assessor to furnish a valuation report for your HDB flat, this is because you need to declare liabilities. You will find it hard to go through HDB for this request, so I suggest you look for a private assessor like I did, prices range from 200 to 400, can bargain.

Lastly, IELTS is not that difficult, like what Ben have shared, you can proceed to the links that Ben has provided and finish the online tests. Be prepared and try your best. Hope this is useful.

  57. Hi Ben I am just curious, hope you can answer this as there is no standard directive with regards to this.

It is stated that you will receive 4points for band 7, 5points for band 8 and 6points for band 9. What happens if you are awarded 7.5 marks or 8.5marks. I asked because 3 of my components came up to 8.5 marks, do they award me 5 points 6 points or 5.5 points.
    ReplyDelete

    Replies

    1. Congrats Gobble for the high marks. This is the equivalent for your IELTS scores.

      Reading (6.0 = 4pts.; 6.5=5pts.; 7.0-9.0 =6pts)
      Speaking (6.0 = 4pts.; 6.5=5pts.; 7.0-9.0 =6pts)
      Writing (6.0 = 4pts.; 6.5=5pts.; 7.0-9.0 =6pts)
      Listening (6.0 = 4pts.; 7.5=5pts.; 8.0-9.0 =6pts)
Link: IELTS Points Table (STEP 2)

Assuming that your lowest component has 8.0 mark, each of your component will have 6 pts. with a total of 24 pts for your English.

Assuming that you did not take French, it is '0".

Total Language Skills = 24 pts.

For spouse's IELTS to qualify for the additional 5 points, what is the required band score?

    1. To get the 5 points for the Adaptability-Language of your spouse, you need a CLB 4 and above, that means IELTS band scores should be:

      Listening: 4.5 and above
      Reading: 3.5 and above
      Speaking: 4.0 and above
      Writing: 4.0 and above

  65. Thanks so much Ben! I have got to share this!

Thanks for the post on address label, I actually missed that one out. While I was checking my application one last time yesterday night, I jumped upon the discovery that I have missed out my educational certificates and transcripts! I nearly just sent out the application! LOL! The checklist is misleading, one would have forgotten about the certificates and transcripts after getting the ECA report lol...

Thank you for your excellent blog!

Oh one more thing, the document checklist says to leave all documents unbound except for small items like photos. I understand that you have stapled documents that are more than 2 pages, not sure if I should do the same. I have heard scary tales of people who sent everything but CIC missed out their forms (returned the package and said that it was incomplete despite that they have sent all the necessary items, recipients lost documents like IELTS results and ECA report...) Thinking that stapling them makes it easier for CIC... What's your advise? Will be sending the parcel these few days, everything's set to go :)

  66. Wooh! That was close..credentials are important. That's why you need to review it 5 or more times. I think I need to post about my experience regarding this topic. I had a lot of "bloopers" when it comes to reviews, each time I considered it final, then I checked it again...another things come out wrong and a lot of paper wasted.

That is why we need to staple same documents...Just imagine a Visa Officer's table, it must be wide enough to review our documents right? But, what if its not...maybe they are using a small desk and a desk fan or what, and it blew all the documents, or fell down accidentally, we don't know. at least, they know how to compile it again. just my thoughts..thanks also for the compliment.

    1. Hi Judith, I put Singapore as my Visa Office. Since you are working here and have a valid pass, you can also do that.

Note: During my Positive Review, Canada assigned my documents to Manila. I don't know why. So, I have to communicate with Manila Visa Office with their requests for additional documents.

Anway, you can choose between SG and Manila, at the end of the day Canada will do the assignment.

  69. Hello Ben,

Thanks for replying in my previous questions!

In the IMM0008_3E (Schedule 3 Economic Class), in the list of occupations, do I put the position title in the company or the NOC position?

For example, I worked as Software Developer but the corresponding NOC is 2174 - Computer Programmer. Which title should I put?

Secondly, how do I put the number of experience if I only had 10 months in the company? There's no checkbox for < 1.

Lastly, I don't have assets other than my savings in the bank. Does that mean:
    Assets: X CAD
    Liabilities: 0 CAD
    Settlement Funds: X CAD
Where assets and settlement funds are equal.

CIO always sends me the correspondence to my email address.

When they sent the medical request, that's the time I replied to them that I had transferred to a new address. They didn't change my address during our medical until to the visa approval stage.

I suggest that you use your Philippine address and just update the CIO once you receive their decision.

      1. Your visa office is USA, Buffalo. unless of course you see yourself moving to India in the next few months. The VO will decide which office you go to, so it doesn't quite matter.

I would want to continue working under 1112 but the applications under that code are almost capped out. What are the implications of applying under 2171 in this case? Will I be able to apply for 1112 jobs after becoming PR? Will my PR card say that I got in through 2171 and not 1112? Will my application be less strong if I apply under an NOC which is not my current job? If there are no such adverse implications and I go ahead with applying under 2171, do I say that my intended occupation is 1112 or 2171 in my Generic application form? Please help!
    ReplyDelete
  103. Whatever you applied in the FSW or filled up in the intended application form does not determine what you will be working in Canada after you get your PR. Meaning: You may be applying under 1112 but you may end up working as something entirely different in Canada. Quite honestly, it does not matter. The only thing that does have an impact is if you are in the eligible occupation. If u r eligible to apply, what you apply does not constitute to what you will end up doing in the end. You are right, the cap for 1112 is almost reaching, so go for one with a lesser cap, otherwise you might not stand a chance at this rate that the application is going.

Now I am confused whether I misunderstood the instruction and entered it wrongly - Ar

    2. You may wish to indicate if in the event that the travels you made weren't significant, maybe 2 or 3 times, no harm, then attach another letter saying that you have been working in the foreign country and back it up with actual documents. If you are afraid of trouble, you may choose not to declare. At this point, they will not withhold your application over this issue.

    3. Hi gobbledegook - Thanks a lot for the response. It is mentioned that 'List all trips you and your spouse have taken outside your country of origin or of residence'. I misunderstood (Still I am not sure whether I understood correctly or not) that it meant we need to mention only if we traveled outside from country of origin or from country of residence to some other country and we don't need to mention travel between country of residence and origin. As I did not travel other than US and India, I mentioned 'Did not Travel'. Also, I selected Visa office of my current country of residence (CPC - Ottawa for US).So, I provided all my and my spouse's passport visa stamped pages, latest I-94 and US port of entry and exit travel history details for proof of residence. If it is required to include travel between country of residence and current country of residence in 'You Travels' form, at this point(I have already sent my application), can you please suggest how I can update the details?. Can I send updated new 'Your Travels' form with cover letter requesting them to attach it with original application? Or Should I ignore this leaving it as it is? - Ar

    5. Hi firstly not to worry, you have attached enough evidence to support your work between India and USA, hence I do not see any chances of your application being rejected. None at all. In fact, Ben did not mention his travels between Philippines and Singapore cuz he made frequent trips to and fro in these few years he spent in Singapore.

If you are concerned, you may have an updated Travel form couriered to CIC. In the cover letter, please include you name, date of birth, country of residence, visa office, passport numbers, the date your parcel was received at CIC and the airway bill number of your parcel. I couriered other documents to CIC too and emailed them about it. They replied to ask me about my airway bill number and passport number which I didn't include, it really wasn't a great deal because I think it didn't affect my application. I was told that they may not be able to match my parcel with these documents which was fine too because it didn't affect my PER in the end.

Question: All my forms and documents are ready to be mailed, I have read that we shouldn't Staple the documents with the supporting docs and should keep all open. Some say I should add separator sheets.

Can you tell me best way to how should I arrange or prepare my file for submission so its easy for CIO to understand?

    1. I have shared this discussion with Ben before and both of us stapled our documents. I used paper clips though. I have read about horror stories of papers flying off in all directions and CIC claiming they hadn't receive a particular form when it's been sent. You never can be too sure, so stapling similar documents help.

  108. Hi Ben,
Great work you are doing here. I do have some concerns bothering on Express Entry starting in January 2015.
All the while, I had my mind fixed on April 2015 when the current FSW will end. Some forums gave the indication that FSW 2014 will run concurrently with EE till April 2015. More do, there is no ministerial instruction that FSW 2014 will end in Dec 2014.
I know I should have started earlier but I had to sell a landed property just so I can meet the minimum requirements for POF. More so, my IELTS date is in January while my institution claimed DHL mistakenly couriered my transcripts to New York which is now being sent back so it can go to WES Canada hopefully this week.
I am so confused right now but hoping for the best and that Express Entry will do the trick for me.
What I want to know is will the requirements for EE be the same as the current one? ie will minimum points, POF be a major requirement in EE.
I have tried reading up information on EE but i'm still not clear except that your chances are good if you get picked from the lot at the Job bank.
Do you think EE is a better option. At the moment, am a stay at home mom but I do have 9 years experience in my chosen NOC. What do you think and how can you advise me.

    Thanks for your response.

    1. Hi

Can't help but need to chip in on this one again, maybe because I am a mother too.

The criterions for EE is not out yet, and there hasn't been any ministerial instructions on when is the end date for FSW 2014. Some say April, some say May while others insist that it will run for as long as the entire 2015. Nobody can know for sure, and what's gonna happen if your application reaches CIC the day FSW 14 closes but the occupation isn't capped yet?

Since there hasn't been any announcements and personally, I don't think you should trust what you read in the FSW 14 forum, they are sometimes overly subjective. You best bet is Jan 15 (latest).

Having your application selected in EE is as good as being struck by lightning. I am sorry if I sound very pessimistic, but Canada is not a place looming with idiots, it is where some of the world's most brilliant and finest talent congregate. I connected with many Canadian professionals on LinkedIn and they are million miles from being replaced, the job market isn't optimistic either.

Of course, if you are extremely talented with very niche specialty, your chances will still be good. Otherwise, you will be pounding on unanswered doors. It's like applying for a job on job bank, how often do you get called for an interview?

If time permits, send in your application now. You have a higher chance in fsw. The processing time is much faster now, several FSW 14 applicant have already landed in Canada.

Ben Alagnam said...

Hi Ben,

In the Document Checklist form, it mentions that "If you are unable to provide any of the requested documenatation, include with your application, a written explanation with full details as to why that documentation is unavailable.........."

For example, Additional Dependants Declaration (IMM0008DEP) , Use of a representative (IMM5476) , Arrange Employment etc are not applicable to me. So do I need to write anything for these documents Or just leave it untick on the Checklist form?

If you don't mind, can you share how you wrote for not submitting "Police Certificates & Clearances" ?

-You will be the dependent if your hubby is the principal applicant.
-You can work there because you'll be a PR.
-No need to go to Canadian embassy, if you have gathered all your documents with the full application, you can send it to Nova Scotia, Canada...the address is in the form.
-are the locals applied for FSW? All FSW applicants needs a language test result...
Hoping for the Best!!!

Ben, did you get your previous supervisors to sign on the COE for your previous jobs? Were all your COEs signed? Would a simple computer generated letter suffice?

Ben Alagnam said...

Hi gobble, since I was applying for this FSW since 2003, everytime I resign from my job, I always ask for my COE and is signed by an HR or my Supervisor. This 2013 application, I attached those old COEs.

Ben Alagnam said...

Thank you.

Ben Alagnam said...

If the application fee is deducted, that means your application is approved for further processing and had reached the cap. This takes 3 months, based on my timeline.

And for Credential assessment, is the one done in the immigration acceptable there or shall I be reassessed again? Also, should my wife have her credentials assessed at this point in time? Thank you for continued insights for the life in Canada. Godbless!

Hi Sir. I know this is irrelevant to your post but I read one of your blog entries about the online extension of visit pass in Singapore. I applied online for 30 days but was asked to report to ICA together with a sponsor (I have a cousin who is a PR) and the required documents. I secured the Form-14, printed copy of the notice, and passport. As for the document that will prove our relationship (my cousin and me), he has his BC - so that's great - my concern is this, the only document I have as proof of our relationship is my photographed NSO Birth Certificate. I had it photographed in the Philippines and had it sent in my e-mail. Will this be a problem? Also, what are the odds of being approved/disapproved? What possible questions will the Immigration Officer throw at us? Will I and my cousin be interviewed together? What reasons can I give to up the chance of being approved? I am staying in Singapore for 2 months now (looking for... you know.).

So sorry for many questions and I truly appreciate your reply. Thank you and God bless you and your family in Canada! :)

P.S. I read via the internet that only those who applied for 89 days will be required a sponsor and trip to ICA so why me? I just applied for 30 days... :(

Ben Alagnam said...

Hi, as long as they don't require an original copy, scanned copy will do.

You are not alone on this issue. Singapore government is now very strict on tourist that stays longer than 30 days and they don't give any reason of the rejection. They will just send you a letter.

I have news from a friend in SG that 2 of his friends were rejected for an extension. Well, it's the way it is, just keep on finding and you'll achieve it soon. Don't lose hope if you're rejected cause another opportunity will open up for you, I'm sure!

Dear Sir/Mdm,

I am applying for Canadian Immigration but i don't have a job waiting for me there yet, so i need your assistance. I am currently working for a global company in Singapore and they have an office in Toronto.

Are there other methods of applying instead of applying online?

Could i fill a form somewhere?

I have tried to apply for Job Bank but was asked for Express Entry Profile Number and Job Seeker Validation Code.

Where do i get them?

I tried applying for Express Entry but was asked for GCKey or Canadian Bank Account which i don't have yet as i am still residing in Singapore.

I have checked NOC for my code. I somehow figure out the code closest to my job classification. I think it is NOC 6314 Type B.

Recently, i had my IELTS test done.

My score is:

Listening 6.5
Reading 6.5
Writing 6.0
Speaking 7.5
Overall: 6.5

Last but not least, can i pay by CPF for IELTS Test?

Kindly assist.

I Ben!! I have a question....My ex-husband is applying to immigrate to Canada alone. However, he says that for my child to have the possibility to consider migrating to Canada in the future I have to complete the form IMM5604E which he needs to complete his application. However when I read the form is like I am authorizing my child to immigrate now to Canada (to which I do not agree since I have full custody and I expect my daughter to live with me until she is of legal age). Please let me know on the risks I am assuming by signing this form. Thanks

Ben Alagnam said...

Hi Cumbia, based on the form, upon signing it, you are allowing your ex-husband to bring your child to Canada anytime once they get their Immigration Visas.

On the lighter side, it will change the future of your kid and probably have a good life here. But, you can't accompany them once their Visas are approved. You have to apply on your own to enter Canada (It's stated in the form).

Please read Disclaimer above my website. Email me your questions.
